Lionel Messi returned in training session for Barcelona

Barcelona has declared that Lionel Messi has recovered from hamstring injury to join the training session. Messi suffered with injury in the 4-1 Liga victory against Real Betis on November 10 and reverted to his native country Argentina for medical treatment.

Barcelona officially announced on Thursday that not only Lionel Messi back in Catalunya, the striker also joined the team.

Barcelona published a statement on its official website:
“Leo Messi landed in Barcelona this afternoon and went directly to the Ciutat Esportiva to meet up with his team-mates and get fitted for new
boots ahead of the team’s training session,”

It further said, “Messi, who has yet to be declared match fit, took part in the team’s second training session of the day.”

Due to his injury the 26-year-old striker has missed the Argentinian qualifying matches for 2014 World Cup against Peru and Uruguay.

The striker also has missed a La Liga victory over Valladolid and a Champions League win over Celtic.
